WordPress & WooCommerce, Foundation

Developer @ Pyxl

About the Project

When Friends of the Smokies came to Pyxl they had multiple web properties serving similar purposes, each of which was severely outdated. Pyxl was tasked with proving a single, modern web experience for their users, condensing a large number of resources and information into a manageable website without overwhelming the users or content managers.

The Nitty Gritty

I was the sole developer on this project, building it in WordPress and the Foundation framework. The site uses WooCommerce for the Donations portions, allowing subscription donations or one-time donations as well as a dynamic pricing model allowing users to choose the amount or enter their own custom amount.
As part of this project I developed a custom WordPress plugin for Pyxl that consumes Instagram’s API and provides it to theme developers in a clean, developer-friendly way. It was inspired by the oAuth Twitter Feed for Developers plugin.
